Amazon Got Smart. SmartHome Technology Has Broad Appeal For New Home Buyers

Amazon Got Smart.  SmartHome Technology offers built-in solutions for new home buyers like you.

The baby won’t nap, and a young mother has one hour before picking up the other two at school. Alexa, what can I make in less than 30 minutes with boneless chicken, fresh tomatoes and spinach. Alexa, please pre-heat the oven for 350 degrees and turn the dryer on medium for 30 minutes.

Smart technology means solutions to make everyday life easier.  Many stay-at-home mothers also run home businesses.  ( I know several!).  Working mothers choose quality time with the family over hours in the kitchen.  Dads need help covering home duty.  Couples want to connect after a long day but need help with simple ways to save money and cook at home.  Busy singles need help with everyday tasks.

I recently read that Amazon is partnering with homebuilders to bring its Alexa voice assistant to more new housing units as a standard smart-home feature.  And Amazon introduced more than a dozen Alexa-controlled smart-home devices, including a microwave oven and doorbell recently.

“Voice has emerged as a delightful technology in the home, and there are now more than 20,000 Alexa-compatible smart-home devices from 3,500 different brands,”  said Paul Bernard, director of the Alexa Fund.  Amazon has also partnered with Lennar, one of the nation’s largest homebuilders, to preinstall Alexa in all of the builder’s new home.

I can represent you to select a premium lot in a moderately priced new home community and ensure your interests are protected.   If you are moving up to a luxury home, will help you to find and evaluate a lot, select the correct builder or evaluate resale options as well as sell your current home quickly and for top value.

Amazon Got Smart. SmartHome Technology Has Broad Appeal For New Home Buyers In Luxury Communities.

Expert luxury homebuilders say wealthy home buyers want all the bells and whistles.  Last Spring, I attended a real estate update event at the PNC Arena in Raleigh hosted by the Triangle Business Journal.  Two expert luxury builders and one respected developer shared their insight into what luxury homebuyers want in their new home.  Jon Rufty of Rufty Homes, Rex Bost of Bost Custom Homes and  Tim Smith of Preston Development Company agreed that luxury home buyers want all the bells and whistles.  These home buyers are on top of the latest technology and other luxury home features and want it all.   Smith described a water conservation system to be installed in new homes for reuse of greywater for home irrigation.  Water and power usage monitors are another features preferred by buyers of new luxury homes.

I read that the majority of wealthy people became that way because they were careful stewards of their finances and built or lead a business.  In my volunteering experience at charity golf tournaments and not-for-profit organizations in Raleigh, I meet local business leaders who value the finer things.  But most noteworthy is their enthusiasm in giving back to our community and their interest in protecting our environment.

SmartHome Technology installed in luxury homes allows wealthy home buyers to control power usage, streamline their finances and simplify their everyday life.

I asked Jon Rufty and the Rufty Homes Team about SmartHome Technology trends they see for their luxury home buyers.  They said that SmartHome Technology is a key feature their clients include when designing a new custom luxury home.

Bottom line.  Choose your new home and your lifestyle.  My expert local knowledge and relationships with Raleigh area builders are valuable to you.  If you are looking for your dream home,  let me help.
